I'M NEW / ABOUT US
To make lifelong Christians who love, pray and serve God & others, together.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that the Bible teaches the truth about God & life. We were created by God for the purpose of loving Him. Humanity broke away from God through sin. God set out to bring humanity back to Himself and redeem all of Creation. Jesus Christ (the Son of God) came to teach us about God's love, heal us, and ultimately, redeem us from sin through his death and resurrection.
Jesus taught his disciples how to live with a servant's heart. He commissioned them to teach others and point the way towards redemption, just as He had done. That's our work... to help broken people become whole again through faith in Jesus Christ.
Our symbol reflects what we believe a church community is meant to be:
A place where people gather to Love, Pray, and Serve, Together.
Love: Jesus himself said that the greatest commandment revolved around Love. We are here to love God and one another, with all that word entails!
Pray: No life of faith is complete without daily prayer. Prayer is a two way communication to God. We pray to give God our burdens, to thank Him for all he is doing in our lives, and to ask him where He wants us to go next.
Serve: The apostle John said that faith without works is dead. We wholeheartedly agree! Whether it's raising funds for a local charity through a bean supper, or going on an immersive mission trip to build homes in Haiti, we are an actively serving congregation.
Together: We believe that churches were meant to be communities. Our worship space (which holds about 100 people) is big enough to find your own space... but not so big that you'll get lost in the crowd. We care about one another here at West Falmouth, and there are plenty of opportunities to make friends along the journey.
